Another Beautiful Backyard Patio Transformation in Southwest Boise

This home in Southwest Boise had a small, outdated concrete pad that barely offered room to enjoy the backyard.

The homeowners wanted a more functional and inviting outdoor space, and Catalpa Concrete delivered.

We removed the original slab and replaced it with a full-width raised concrete patio that now extends across the entire back of the house.

The new layout creates a seamless indoor-outdoor connection and provides plenty of room for outdoor seating, grilling, and gatherings.

To enhance accessibility, we added a single concrete step leading from the raised patio down to the lawn. This small but thoughtful detail makes the space easier to use while adding a clean finish to the edge of the patio.

Custom Walkway with Concrete Accents

In addition to the backyard transformation, we created a custom walkway connecting the back patio to the front of the home.

The walkway is bordered in concrete and filled with a decorative inner border that will be filled with loose stone for added texture and contrast.

Within the stone border, we poured a series of evenly spaced concrete sidewalk pads that form a clear and modern path.

This combination of materials adds both visual interest and practical function, guiding guests and family members easily between spaces.
