Wrap-Around Concrete Sidewalk Installation in Eagle, ID
We look forward to serving you!
Step One: Forming the Path

FREE INSTANT ESTIMATE
Every great concrete project starts with a solid plan and clean formwork.
We began by mapping out the exact path of the new sidewalk, wrapping from one side of the driveway, around the home, and all the way to the other.
Once the layout was approved, we installed wood forms to define the borders of the walkway and ensure proper width, grading, and slope for water runoff.
This initial phase gives shape and direction to the entire project, setting the tone for a professional finish.

Step Two: Reinforcement with Rebar
With the forms in place, our next step was reinforcing the walkway using a steel rebar grid.
Rebar adds essential strength and stability to the concrete, especially in areas with shifting soil or freeze-thaw conditions like Idaho.
We installed rebar across every section of the future sidewalk, tying it securely and ensuring it was properly suspended within the forms to give the concrete long-lasting support.

Step Three: Boom Truck Pours Concrete
Because the sidewalk wrapped around both sides of the house and extended to the backyard, we used a boom pump truck to handle the concrete pour.
This allowed us to reach all areas directly from the street, so, no wheelbarrows or heavy machinery crossing the yard.
The boom arm extended over the home, delivering concrete precisely into the forms while keeping the landscaping protected and the job moving quickly.
Our crew coordinated with the pump operator to ensure a smooth, consistent pour across every section.
As concrete was placed, we immediately leveled and prepped each area, working efficiently to stay ahead of curing times and ensure uniform coverage.

Step Four: Finishing Touches, Clean Lines and Seamless Transitions
Once the concrete was poured into place, our team shifted immediately into the finishing phase. This is where experience really shows—turning a raw pour into a clean, attractive surface that holds up for years to come.
We began by screeding the concrete to create a flat, even surface. Then we used float tools to smooth out the surface, eliminate imperfections, and ensure proper compaction. Timing here is everything—working too early or too late can leave marks or compromise the finish.
Our crew moved systematically around the house, treating each section with equal care to maintain consistency across the entire wrap-around path.

Next came the edging. Using hand tools, we shaped crisp, clean borders where the sidewalk meets the lawn, house foundation, and other structures.
This not only makes the project look polished but helps prevent cracking along the edges as the concrete naturally expands and contracts over time.
Control joints were cut strategically to guide any future cracking along clean, intentional lines rather than random breaks.
These joints were spaced and aligned to not only serve a technical purpose but also blend well with the visual layout of the property.
Finally, we paid close attention to every connection point, the areas where the new sidewalk joined the existing driveway, porch, and back patio.
These transition zones are easy to overlook but make a big difference in how seamless and professional the end result feels.
